Accept the Challenge. We’re Almost There!
A portion of our mission is accomplished. The new Youth Transition Center for young men and women ages 18-23 became a reality with our Grand Opening ceremony on January 17th. The center will support our Transitional Living Program that helps these youth earn higher education, learn life skills, and find stable jobs and safe housing. Centrally located in Vero Beach, it serves former foster children along Florida’s Treasure Coast.
We are proud of this accomplishment, but we still have the challenge of raising the final $900,000 of our $5 Million capital campaign by June 2010. This amount must be raised in order to receive the Kresge Foundation’s challenge grant of $500,000. The Kresge Foundation is one of the largest charitable foundations in the country, and CHS is honored to be awarded their challenge grant. We’re in the homestretch.
Every dollar counts, and the deadline is quickly approaching! Rise to the challenge and support our youth who – through no fault of their own – have been abandoned, abused, and neglected. > Learn How You Can Help |
